  30. KENNEDALE WETLAND Sampling Frequency: Baseflow Sampling – Weekly sampling of outlet pool. Paired Intake/Outlet Wet Sampling – During wet weather event samples will be collected upstream and downstream of the wetland (automated sampler) STS (Stormwater Treatment System) – sampling during wet weather only to catch 15 storms. Type of Sample: Baseflow and STS – Grab sample Paired Sample – Composite sample (automated sample) Parameters: Core: TSS, TP, TKN, (NO-2+NO-3)-N, NH3-N, Cl-, and E. coli. Additional: Hardness, metals; Chlorophyll a, DO, pH, Temperature, Conductivity, Secchi Disc; Pesticides Pollutant Removal Performance: [(Min-Mout)/Min]x100 = Removal Efficiency (%) Mass loading values are calculated for inflow (Min) and outflow (Mout) for each event (flows and concentrations known). The removal efficiency reflects the percentage reduction on pollutant mass as a result of flow through the wetland system. Sampler

CSO OUTFALLS Sampling Frequency: Wet weather – every rainfall or snow fall event Type of Sample: Wet Weather – Composite Sample (permanent sampling station) Parameters: Core: TSS, BOD5, TP, TKN, (NO-2+NO-3)-N, NH3-N, Cl-, and E. coli. Additional: volatile fraction of suspended solids (VSS); dissolved phosphorus, i.e. orthophosphate (PO4-); particle size analysis of the suspended solids; SSC using U.S. Geological Survey published protocols; Total and free chlorine; Hardness, metals; Turbidity, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, VOC’s; Pesticides

INTAKES Sampling Frequency: 12 times per year, more frequent during rainy months Type of Sample: Grab sample Parameters: Core: TSS, BOD5, TP, TKN, (NO-2+NO-3)-N, NH3-N, Cl-, and E. coli. pH, DO, specific conductivity, and water temperature Additional: volatile fraction of suspended solids (VSS); dissolved phosphorus, i.e. orthophosphate (PO4-); particle size analysis of the suspended solids; SSC using U.S. Geological Survey published protocols; Total and free chlorine tested in field using portable colorimeter; Hardness, metals; Turbidity, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, VOC’s; Pesticides

Chloropyll-a, water level, pH, DO, specific conductivity, and water temperature Additional: Hardness, metals; Pesticides
