  3. Dialogue Wáng Lán: Andy, nǐhǎo! 王兰： Andy,你好！ Andy: Nǐhǎo, Wáng Lán! Andy：你好，王兰！ Wáng Lán: Zhètiáogǒu zhème dà, wǒ hěn hàipà. 王兰： 这条狗这么大，我很害怕。

  4. Dialogue Andy: Tom, guòlai. Biéhàipà, tā bù yǎorén. Andy:Tom,过来。别害怕，它不咬人。 WángLán: Zhēndema? Tāshìnǐ de chǒngwù ma ？ 王兰： 真的吗？它是你的宠物吗？ Andy: Duì, tāshìwǒ de chǒngwù. Tājiào Tom. Nǐhàipà gǒu ma? Andy:对，它是我的宠物，它叫Tom。你害怕狗 吗？

  5. Dialogue Wáng Lán: Wǒ hàipà dàgǒu, xǐhuan xiǎogǒu. Wǒ juéde xiǎogǒu gèng kě′ài. 王兰: 我害怕大狗，喜欢小狗。我觉得小狗 更可爱。

  6. English Text Wang Lan: Hello, Andy! Andy: Hello, Wang Lan! Wang Lan: This dog is so big that I am afraid of it. Andy: Tom, come here. Don’t be afraid. It doesn’t bite people. Wang Lan: Really? Is it your pet? Andy: Yes, it’s my pet. Its name is Tom. Are you afraid of dogs? Wang Lan: I am afraid of big dogs, but I like little dogs. I think little dogs are cuter.
