  2. The beginning of your presentation is determined by the degree of formality. For example: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of PT Indofood, may I welcome you to grand opening our new branch. (Fairly formal) Morning, everyone. Thanks for coming. (More friendly)

  3. The first thing to remember is that you should consider the audience’s preference. The audiences usually prefer a relatively informal approach.

  4. The beginning of the presentation should not spent too much on introducing yourself, your company and the subjects of your talk. Get on with it!

  5. You should present the purpose of your presentation near the beginning clearly and effectively. Example: Ok, let’s get started. Good morning, everyone. Thanks for coming. I’m Asdaq Keandre. This morning I’m going to be showing you how to deal with late prayers. So, I’ll begin by outlining company policy on bad debt, and then I’ll go on to talk you through our basic debt management procedure. You just need a few simple presentation verbs to state the purpose of your presentation

  6. Clarity is a main point in delivering presentation in English, especially if there are non-native speakers of English in your audience. Stating your purpose at each stage of your talk as well as at the beginning of your presentation is worth to do. Example: First of all, I’d like to outline the main points of my talk.
