  1. 501 Coliseum Drive Chelsea, MI 48118 July 25-28, 2013 “My son recently attended your camp. I want to say it was the best money I have ever spent. Your staff and coaches need to be commended.” Ron, parent of attendee Dear Player, Congratulations on your nomination to attend the 13h annual Michigan High School Hockey Excellence Program! The Excellence Program runs from Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, July 28, 2013, and is held at the Chelsea Arctic Coliseum. Directed by USA Hockey American Development Model Regional Manager Bob Mancini and Chelsea High School Head Coach Don Wright, the camp gives Michigan’s best sophomore, junior, and senior high school players the opportunity to display their skills in front of National Hockey League Scouts. In addition to a four-game schedule, players are involved in multiple skill development practices, off-ice training and educational sessions. These off-ice sessions are designed to assess each player’s physical ability and to benefit his development as a player. At the end of camp, each player will receive an in-depth written evaluation from an NHL scout, who has been personally assigned to evaluate his team. This evaluation documents strengths and weaknesses, along with suggestions for continued development and improvement. We will also present seminars to help answer frequently answered questions regarding future hockey plans. These sessions are aimed to help players and parents navigate through the next phases of a player’s development. To apply for acceptance to this event, please return the enclosed application, along with a check made out to Transition Hockey for $379.00. Players will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. Letters of acceptance along with additional camp materials and hotel information will be e-mailed or mailed. All other applications will be returned with a full refund. For more information, please call the numbers below or e-mail us at hockeyexcellence@charter.net. “The High School Excellence Program has been an outstanding camp for my top players to attend each year because they can see how they compare with other top players in the state. In addition, the information they get from the scout evaluations and high level coaches helps them see what areas they need to continue to develop.” Doug Towler, Davison High School Head Hockey Coach “We continue to get positive feedback because these kids learn things here they can use on their own to get better.” Bob Mancini, Co-Founder “The Michigan High School Excellence Program does a great job in helping players to make the next step in their career.” Steve Bowman, Washington Capitals Don Wright (734) 433-4444 Bob Mancini (989) 780-0515
