The Team • The Harlem Globetrotters were originally founded in 1926 under a different name, but in the end the final name became The Harlem Globetrotters. • They have played over 20,000 exhibition games in over 118 countries • Their Mascot is the Globie. • The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism, theater, and comedy. • Their signature song is "Sweet Georgia Brown"

  3. Accomplishments • The Harlem Globetrotters have accomplished the best winning streak of all time, 8,829 undefeated games • They have served as great entertainers for the U.S. and over 100 other countries

Other Interesting Facts • The Trotters came to be undefeatable at a time, 8,829 to be exact. • They were so good it was a challenge to find a worthy opponent for them. • At one game they were winning 151-13, the opposing team’s fans started leaving, so the Trotter’s coach told them to start playing around like at practice, the fans returned and even though it was a total blowout, the fans got their money’s worth, and that’s why the Trotters are so fun to watch. • Michael “Wild Thing” Wilson a current Globe Trotter has the record for the highest dunk, 12ft
