  1. Pronouns Today we will learn about pronouns.

  2. Before we get to pronouns, let’s review nouns! Nouns are: Person place thing school present A girl

  3. What is a pronoun? A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun or nouns.

  4. common pronouns include:he, her, him, I, it, me, she, them, they, us, and we • The pronouns refer to different nouns = = She or her it one girl or woman One thing = They, we, us, them = he, him many people or things, sometimes including I (oneself) one boy or a man

  5. Remember Pronouns replace a noun or nouns • Remember common pronouns include he, her, him, I, it, me, she, them, they, us, and we. Here are some examples: • INSTEAD OF:Luma is a good athlete. • She is a good athlete. (The pronoun she replaces Luma.) • INSTEAD OF:The beans and tomatoes are fresh-picked. • They are fresh-picked. (The pronoun they replaces the beans and tomatoes.)
