  2. Where does Lois Lowry live? • Lois Lowry currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but visits her home in Maine to be closer to her grandchildren.

  3. When and where was Lois Lowry born? • Lois Lowry was born in Hawaii.

  4. How does Lois Lowery get her story ideas? • Lois has used her own life experiences to influence her writing. In all of her books, she has tried to make people aware of how much humans depend on one another, and the environment.

  5. How did Lois Lowry grow up? • Lois’ father was a military officer, she moved around to many different places. Such as Hawaii, Tokyo, and all over the U.S.. She had one brother and one sister. Lois usually was on her own and reading a lot.

  6. What interests does Lois Lowry have? • Lois’ main interests are being with her grandchildren, gardening reading, and writing. She is also very interested in making people more aware of the effect we have on each other and the environment.

Interesting Facts About Lois Lowry • Lois use to scribble poems and stories into notebooks when she was little. • She became a professional writer after graduating college. • She has had two of the same type of dogs. Tibetan Terriers. • She will not respond to rude emails if someone doesn’t like her book.
