  3. REGISTRATION EPFASTPITCH.COM January 17th through February 23th Uniforms Sizing will be done at tryouts Ordering uniforms will be online Sliding shorts available at tryouts

PROGRAM UPDATES Coaches Coaching Clinics – Concussion Training Head Coaches - Paid Coaches or Parent Assistant Coaches - Parents Team Managers – Parents Athletic Policy Concussion Awareness - Consent Playing Time Guidelines Participation fees Team registration fees based on Age/Level of Play Additional $25 non-refundable try-out fee 10U Team Focus on development of skills – pitching and catching

  5. FUNDRAISING PROGRAM Based on parent feedback, we are not using our past fundraising program (Dine & Discounts). For this year, we have put the fundraising “commitment” into the registration fee. We will look for a potential new fundraising program for next year.

  6. VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS New Volunteer Process this year Once assigned to a travel team, you will be asked to sign up for 2 volunteer options (estimated at 3 hrs each). Some tasks include: Concessions and field maintenance for Miller Park Weekend Tournaments Night at the Park Team Manager All families will still have a weeknight concession stand commitment to fulfill Opt out of all volunteer commitments for $200 due at registration If no opt out fee at registration, $200 check due at first team parent meeting to be held until all volunteer commitments have been met. First miss, $200 check will be cashed and remainder of commitment is terminated.

  7. WINTER CLINICS FREE Pitching & Catching on Sunday nights Jan: 26 Feb: 9, 16, 23 March:  3, 17, 24

  8. 2014 SEASON Tryouts Two day tryout Feb. 22 & 23 Make up date will be Sunday Feb. 16 at 12 - 2 pm in the EPHS Dome upon written request and approval by travel commissioner Pitchers & Catchers separate (on those days) MN Fastpitch Academy evaluating tryouts Team formation to be completed after tryouts and communicated that week

  9. 2014 SEASON (cont.) Tournaments Teams will play in two to four invitational tournaments State qualifier and State tournaments in early to mid July 10U & 12U State Qualifier is June 27 – 29, State is July 11 - 13 14U State Qualifier is July 11 - 13, State is July 18 - 20

  10. 2013 SEASON (cont.) Tournaments National tournaments – EP Fastpitch expects our teams to go to the best tournament possible EP Fastpitch reimbursements $0 for metro area tournaments $100 per player for in-state tournaments over 65 miles from Eden Prairie $300 per player for out of state tournaments – Team pays coach expenses

  11. TRAVEL PLAYER COMMITMENT For your teammates… Attend all practices and games Attend all tournaments, especially state and national tournaments Tell us your conflicts when registering Most tournaments are not yet posted so we cannot tell you when a team is playing in a tournament

  12. Sportsmanship Eden Prairie leads by example Parent / Coach Interaction 24 hour rule Communication is best in person or on phone – not by email Expectations for All Parents and Players Chris Rosenlund will be Board escalation Playing time guidelines for team levels
