  1. P.E. in Hunsdon School

  2. By April 1st Ofsted have asked schools to publish how we are spending our sports grant. • At Hunsdon JMI, we have been allocated £8000 plus £5 per pupil. We spend our allocated resources in a variety of ways: • £4,400 - Pay into the local school sports partnership – this buys ½ day per week, specialist training which this term has come from an experienced gymnast and support for the P.E. Co-ordinator and staff. • It also allows us to participate in a variety of sports festivals such as athletics at Wodson Park, the Dance Festival at Hertford Theatre and tournaments such as netball and football.

  3. A PE specialist through Pathways, is employed 2 times per week and she takes each year group for an half hour session using plans provided by the teachers. • Again through Pathways, 2 Lunch time sports clubs are run on a Monday and Wednesday so that every other week, each class has a club and every child from every class participates in this club. • The grant is used to subsidise the swimming and the cost of the coach which means that swimming lessons cost parents only £2.00 per week. • On a Friday lunchtime, the grant is used to run a basketball club.
