In the beginning … Before Dr. Truchardco-foundedNI out of his garage in 1976, he first thought about making artificial diamonds. NI’s founders looked at a variety of names for the company including Texas Digital, Longhorn Instruments, and several permutations of their initials. Thankfully, they eventually settled onNational Instruments.
