  3. INTRODUCTION

  4. Earth is a very important part of our lives. Most of us wouldn't think of polluting our bodies, yet we are polluting our planet by misuse and overuse of our natural resources. As responsible individuals we should at least do what we can to help reduce, reuse, and recycle what we can as a first step. We are not completely to blame; we inherited a polluted Earth, but we can do something to ensure that our children can grow up in a cleaner, safer planet than ourselves.

  5. Some kinds of environmental degradation are truly of global concern, such as Global Warming, Depletion of the Ozone Layer, Acid Rain, Pollution (Air, Water, Noise and Land), Urbanization, Deforestation, Soil Degradation, and so on

  6. By survey of common man we found the reasons of environmentalDegradation as: • Wastage of water. • Pollution. • The garbage around is not disposed properly. • Trees are being cut. • Urbanization and population. • Excessive use of non-renewable energy resources. • Use of polythene

  7. Global Warming Global warming is a heated concern, as it affects business, commerce, health and the environment. Because of the massive amounts of greenhouse gases, which increase the natural warming period of the earth, temperatures are rising and the global climate is changing.

  8. Pollution Pollution is one of the biggest environmental problems that could directly affect your family. Air pollution exacerbates, and sometimes causes, health problems, water pollution rends tap water undrinkable and soil pollution can introduce toxins to a variety of food products.

  9. Wastage of Water Conserving water not only saves money on your utility bill, but it also helps the environment by preventing water pollution. You may also be able to lengthen the life span of your septic system by conserving water, thus saving you from the headache of having to deal with septic tank problems in the future.

  10. Deforestation Deforestation occurs when trees in a forest are destroyed faster than they can replace themselves. Natural deforestation happens during extreme weather events such as hurricanes and ice ages.
