  2. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Past: Cullum Seeds came into existence in about 1978 when Sherm Cullum purchased the former Zigenhorn Seed Company located in Fisher, AR . (Zigenhorn Seed was recognized for its’ exceptional quality rice seed)

  3. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Location: Fisher, AR (pop. of 265) is located in Northeast Arkansas in Poinsett County (which has the greatest concentration of rice of any county in the nation) .

  4. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Past: Mr. Cullum built upon the Zigenhorn reputation but expanded into seed production and sales of public certified soybean and wheat varieties thru the 80’s & 90’s in NE AR & SE MO.

  5. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Situation in 1980’s & 90’s Income was generated by sales of certified public varieties of rice> soybean>wheat 03/15/1984 Cat. 4 tornado strikes Fisher does major damage to seed plant and warehouses Cullum Seeds was sold in 1997

  7. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview 1997 -company consisted of a seed processing facilities & warehouses at Fisher & Waldenburg (about 20 employees).

  10. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Changes 2002 - 2005: Entered the corn business by obtaining private sources of corn genetics (Belle Corn Hybrids) Employ an additional salesman and an agronomist/sales manager Begin to expand sales territory to include WTN, WMS

  11. 2010 SCC Meeting:Cullum Seeds – Company Overview Changes in 2005 - 2009 Obtained Delta King soybean & wheat genetics Implemented bean marketing program based on soil texture : (Armor- Silt loam, Delta King- Clay/Gumbo) Expand genetic sources of corn, soybean, wheat and rice genetics Formed partnership with JWray Seeds located Paducah, KY (2007)

We live in the communities of our customers, seed producers , seed dealers and employees (~45 employees). It is a competitive business but we strive to be professional, personable and ethical.
