  2. Why this course? In order to become the most competitive and dynamic knowledge based economy in the world (Lisbon Declaration , March 2000), the EC wants also to promote and develop human resources and mobilityOne of the actions is the topic Special Training Course (NUCHORIZ-2003-3.5.3.2)

Why this course? • The Euratom Research and Training Programme on Nuclear Energy • (2002-2004) stipulates as objective for these special training courses: • “to maintain a high level of expertise and competence within the • Community on nuclear matters” • And for scope: • Training courses aimed at the rapid dissemination of the results of national andCommunity research programs • Training courses aimed at maintaining competence

  5. EUNDETRAF II: Objectives • Consolidation of the results of national and community research in all areas of decommissioning • Dissemination of the existing theoretical as well as the practical know-how • Bring together the principal decommissioners to exchange information and experiences
