  1. Field Team Meeting, 20130128 • Instruments: • Worked with Katie to use Nitrate standard to test SUNA; did not work. Zeroed 030 and sent it back to SATURN-03, sent 030 back to Satlantic • Lab Set Up: • Began prepping lab and still need a few items. • Lab Safety: • I believe all four of us have taken the lab safety course on Big Brain now. Also, there is a copy of the OHSU general lab manual in the lab on top of the book shelves • SATURN-03 and 04: • Failed to make it to the saturn stations for checks against buffers • Data Analysis: • Still working on some data for CDOM 1973, attempting to plot CDOM and salinity along with the tidal cycle during certain time periods associated with SATURN-01.

Instruments: • Begin to get the lab ready for chlorophyll fluorescence testing and work with protocol to hopefully make it work • Lab Set Up: • Continue prepping lab and organizing for instrument testing to move to lab • Still need to obtain a few things: spill kit, pH test strips, thermometers, extra black containers if possible, three new, clean 5-gallon buckets, and at least 1.5 liters of 400 ppb RWT. I have begun to collect MSDS sheets for anything we may use in the lab. Will write up basic lab rules if needed. • SATURN-03 and 04: • Plan to check against buffers and to replace gel at SATURN-03(calibrate after). • Data Analysis: • Continue work on CDOM 1973 and pH • Lab Safety: • Write up basic rules and collect MSDS sheets for any chemical we may use.
