  4. Carnivores • Fennec Fox, Horned Viper, and Egyptian Vulture

  5. Herbivores • Camels, Desert turtle, Dorcus Gazelle

  6. Omnivores • Roadrunner, Desert rat, Raven

  7. Adaptions • Some animals dig burrows, or can obtain moisture from the food they eat so they don’t have to drink water. Some animals have spikes on them that channel moisture to their mouth. There are also cold-blooded animals so they need the heat, or they are nocturnal or have pale skin

  8. Bacteria/Fungi • One kink of bacteria is so called a “desert varnish”

  9. Food Chains • Rat - Snake (secondary) – Hawk (tertiary) • Insects – Lizard (primary) – fox (secondary)
