Controls and centralizes the whole distribution process reducing loss of books, over ordering and replacement costs thus saving money and time. Enabling easy data entry. Generates real time. • Informative Help for each form of the system makes it easy to understand and also describes each field on the form. • Librarians and media specialists have contributed ideas to make this software flexible and user friendly. • The Library Package will not only improve the efficiency but will also reduce human stress thereby indirectly improving human recourses.

  6. Acquisition The module in which the items needed for library are decided, selected and acquired. Including : • Item selection • Quotation • Ordering • Receiving purchased items • Receiving donated items • Accessioning-giving unique numbers to the received items

  7. Cataloging The modules in which the details of library items are entered and call number is generated. Used for the creation, storage, retrieval and management of bibliographic records and/or indexes. Including: • Catalogue Book • Catalogue Media • Add Project document details • Add syllabus details • Add Question paper details • Add Files details

  8. Circulation Circulation module handles circulation activities such as lending, return, renewal, and place on hold. It manages library materials - circulation type, location and status, borrower type, profiles, privileges and other transactions such as computation and payment of overdue fines, lost books, etc. Including: • Register/Renew • Keeping Member directory • Change member status • Check out/Check in/Renew • Change item status • Fine collection • Transaction log (daily transaction of library) • Promote members

  9. Serial Management This module is incorporated to manage the journals entry and its updations with customized options. Search facility is made available under this category.   10. Accounting This module handles accounting section of library. It includes: • Account creation • Budgeting • Budget analysis • Payment • Receipt • Bank transaction • Income and expenditure analysis

  11. Stock Verification Entire stock of library is verified in this section. Complete physical verification of book and other media are done. The barcodes are being used effectively to speed up, avoid human error. During the stock verification period, routine library activities can be carried out without any disturbance. Data-capturing terminal is handy and portable, and there. is no problem of scanning the data multiple times.

  12. OPAC Cataloging activities using a Library Package produce an electronic catalog. The means of access to the catalog for users which is limited to search and display is called an Online Public Access Catalog or OPAC. An OPAC is usually offered as an add-on module that is integral with the cataloging module. It includes: • Normal and Boolean Media search • Normal and Boolean Book search • Miscellaneous search • Periodical search There are some other modules like: • Setting general settings of library • Creating users of library • Settings privilege for library users • Creating library data base • Deleting library database • Back up of database • Restore database
