  5. CAUSES OF POVERTY………… • Rapidly Rising Population • Low Productivity in Agriculture • Low Rate of Economic Development • Price Rise • Unemployment

HOW THE PEOPLE LIVIVG IN INDIA?????????????????? 50% of Indians don’t have proper shelter. 70% don’t have access to decent toilets (which inspires a multitude of bacteria to host their own disease party) 35% of households don’t have a nearby water source. Over 40% of these same villages don’t have proper roads connecting them.

  8. Impact of poverty on society CHILD POVERTY Children affected by poverty has only got bigger and bigger. Children are those who have the least choice and ability to change what happens to them.

  9. WOMEN POVERTY Women have become more and more vulnerable to their environment. They find themselves forced to feed the poverty cycle by living in poverty with their children

  10. effect OF POVERTY ON HEALTH A universal and simple measure of poverty consists in looking at different populations’ health and life expectancy. It’s no surprise that anywhere on earth, poorer communities fare worse than richer ones.

Effects of poverty on terrorism A PROBLEM OF UNEMPLOYMENT It’s important to note that most of the time terrorists do come from poorer countries with high unemployment, and that terrorist organizations often provide much higher salaries than any other job, if any other job is available at all. more complex issue a lot of different factors interact with the decision to become a terrorist. Personal and cultural ideals, values, and principles are just as important as material and social gain of entering terrorism.

IMPACT OF POVERTY Since the 1950s, the Indian government and non-governmental organisations have initiated several programmes to alleviate poverty, including subsidising food and other necessities, increased access to loans, improving agricultural techniques and price supports, and promoting education and family planning

  13. POVERTY IN India INDIA suffers from a lot of poverty which means that many people there do not have enough money . Monthly per capita consumption expenditure is below Rs. 356.35 for rural areas and Rs. 538.60 for urban areas. out of every 4 Indians earns less than $0.40 per day. 75% of the poor are in rural areas. Most of them are daily wagers and landless labourers.

  14. ABOUT POVERTY National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) published a report in 2007. This report state, 77% of Indians (that means 836 million people), lived on less than 20 rupees per day (0.50 nominal, 2.0 in PPP). Most of them have no job or social security. They live in abject poverty
