Student Career Planner User Guide. To create a 4 year Career Plan for Student, you will need to make sure CATE plan has been assigned. Go to Academic Screen. Verify that student has CATE plan assigned under the Supplemental Requirement Group.

  1. Student Career PlannerUser Guide

  2. To create a 4 year Career Plan for Student, you will need to make sure CATE plan has been assigned. Go to Academic Screen Verify that student has CATE plan assigned under the Supplemental Requirement Group

  3. If missing please select appropriate CATE plan from Drop down.

  4. To Access Student Career Planner for student , Go to Student Center>Scheduling>Student Career Planner. Then Click Calculate

  5. You will then need to add what courses they will be taking the remaining of the school years for the student. Select Grade Level and School Year you would like to work with

  6. Select subject area you are going to enter courses for

  7. Select course you would like to enter by putting a check mark under the Required column box. You can select from suggested list. If course you need is not under Suggested area, scroll down under Other Courses to look for course you are looking for to enter. Courses are grouped by Department. Click SAVE

  8. Repeat Steps until all requests are entered for each Subject Area. You can then move on to Next Grade level or go back to Career Plan.

  9. If you select Career Plan, you will see the following prompt, if you would like courses to cross over to student’s career plan enter Yes. If you would like to calculate later. Select NO.

  10. If you selected Career Plan, system will take you back to this area and bring back course requests you added.

  11. You also need to enter student’s course plan, every counselor should have excel file that contains Cate Career Plan based on what student has chosen. Use this to determine what course student should take each year. Select grade and school year you would like to work with and repeat steps from page 7-9.

  12. To print Career Plan , Select Print Button

  13. First page of report will display how many credits they need to graduate and how many credits they have actually entered in requests for the 4 years. It will also display CATE plan credit requirements and what has been fulfilled in requests.

  14. Next page includes actual course student is scheduled for per grade level

  15. Report will also display CATE courses each student is scheduled for per grade level

  16. Last page contains testing information and parent and student signature lines
