  2. What is a Career Academy? • A school within a school that provides a college preparatory curriculum within the context of a career-oriented theme. • 7,000 Career Academies within the U.S. that serve over 1 million students

  3. Career academies have three key elements: • Smaller learning communities • College preparatory curriculum with a career-oriented theme • Strong partnerships within the community
