  5. Eksempler prosjektoppgaver (TØ,NT) Economic impact from investments in broadband Investors and policy makers need to know effects of investments to go further. Understanding how broadband delivers value to the community can inform stakeholders on the real impacts of their investments and initiatives and provide insights for strategies and plans to maximize the positive effects of broadband for the community. That’s why measuring the Community Return on Investment is the key to a sustainable growth. The student will conduct a study on a region/community of their choice, processing tasks as: – Analysis of broadband usage, gaps, and opportunities – Quantification of broadband’s direct impacts – Economic impact analysis from broadband usage

  6. Eksempler prosjektoppgaver (TØ,TS) Business models for networked computer games The computer game industry has experienced a huge increase in active players and income during the last decade. The emergence of online-multiplayer games such as World of Warcraft and Counter-strike, as well as casual games on facebook etc has huge impacts on the value chain in the industry. This assignment will look into business models for the networked computer game industry. The student may focus on a specific business model and (i) identify actors and revenue streams for this business model and (ii) develop a theoretical model considering both demand, pricing structure and cost.

  7. Eksempler prosjektoppgaver (TØ) Markedet for salg av trådløst bredbånd Trådløse Trondheim er per i dag hovedsakelig en tjeneste for nomadisk og mobil bredbånd mao bruk utenfor hjemmet. Mange steder er imdilertid innendørsdekningen god eller svært god og flere benytter pr.t Trådløse Trondheim som sin primæraksess hjemme. Finnes det et potensial for å konkurrere med fast bredbånd som ADSL og bredbånd via kabel-TV? Oppgaven skal se kartlegge markedspotensialet og muligheten for å anvende Trådløse Trondheim som primær internettaksess i hjemmet.
