  15. PBIS • The Chieftain Pride Program is a shift from a punishment based system of discipline to one that actively teaches and promotes student engagement. Looking harder at positive class/school wide behaviors and rewards students for positive behaviors while maintaining classroom and building discipline. • Be Safe • Be Respectful • Be a Learner • Be a Chieftain

  16. Drop-Off Traffic Flow in the Morning • Here are some tips to help make the school’s car line move along more smoothly. • Aim to be in line by 7:20 a.m. to arrive on time. • Patience is easier when you plan realistically. The car line usually takes 5 min from start to finish, more if you arrive at peak times or on a rainy day. • Read and observe the traffic plan outlined on the next page. • You need to approach the school from Ludlow and stay to your right. The right two lanes are one-way. • For your safety and the safety of your child please refrain from using your cell phone while in the car line. • Do not let your child out of the car until you have reached one of the two drop off areas in front of the school. • Your child will be greeted by Mr. Styles, our crossing-guard, one of our administrators or our School Resource Officer, Mr. Huffman.

  17. Pick-up Traffic flow in afternoon • The Northeast Parking Lot is our bus lot. You are prohibited from using that lot at any given time to pick-up or drop your child unless special arrangements have been made. • Please enter from Ludlow and pull in either of the two lanes along the south curb. • Cars in line will pick up students and safely vacate the car line by pulling forward past the main entrance making a LEFT (at the stop sign) as you travel north towards Beth Harman Blvd. • If you choose to park, walk towards the drop-off/pick-up area and escort your child safely to your vehicle.
