Lancaster County. Nathen Good. How was it settled?. Lancaster County is located in the South Central part of Pennsylvania. In the 18 th and 19 th centuries Dutch immigrants came from Germany. They came mainly for Pennsylvania’s mild climates, rich soil, and for the freedom of religion.

  2. How was it settled? • Lancaster County is located in the South Central part of Pennsylvania. In the 18th and 19th centuries Dutch immigrants came from Germany. They came mainly for Pennsylvania’s mild climates, rich soil, and for the freedom of religion.

  4. Weather Patterns • On average the warmest month is July • The highest record temperature was 102°F in 1988 • The average coolest month is January • The lowest recorded temperature was -16°F in 1994 • The maximum average precipitation occurs in September Watershed – Conestoga River

  9. Water • The water in my house comes from a water tower. The water tower gets its water from lakes and rivers.

  10. Trash • The trash at my house gets picked up once a week. • After that the trash goes to a big landfill to get disposed properly

  11. Sewage • All of my sewage goes to the Sewage Disposal Plant. • The Disposal Plant can either get ride of the wastes or if its not to contaminated then they are able to clean it and put it back into the environment.
