Main Objectives • Review data & info flows from MSs to RSCs relevant to MSFD (what) • Review processes & methods at RSCs (how) • (Further) Develop a “data and information stream schema” for a shared marine information system [ WISE-MARINE] • Prepare a feasibility study of a shared information system • Describe an EU WISE-RSC data and information portal • Implement first elements of the system for OSPAR & HELCOM • Project time line – appr. 1 year

  5. Task 1 & 2: Review of data flow (what & how) Task 1: Review current & anticipated data & information holdings at RSCs Focus on WHAT is at the RSCs (inventory) Task 2: Analyse information flow processes and management systems Focus on HOW data at RSCs comes in and is managed

  6. Product from task 1 & 2 • Is used in preparation of TG-Data workshops • How is information flowing from MS to RSC (per indicator) • What is transferred? • How can we prevent to duplicate flows of data and reporting • Follow-up of TG-Data workshop in task 4 and 5/6

  7. Task 7: Liaison with RSCs, EEA, DG ENV and MSs • DG ENV: • Regular communication + 4 project progress meetings • EEA and ETC/ICM • 2 TG-DATA meetings (Copenhagen): • April 29-30 nutrients & hazardous substances • June 25-26 (?) biodiversity • RSCs • 3 meetings with OSPAR (London) and 3 with HELCOM (Helsinki) • MSFD CIS • 2 Project coordination Group (PCG) meetings: 10-11 Mar & 22-23 Sept • 2 WG DIKE meetings in Brussels: 25-26 Feb & 29-30 Sept
