  2. Stress is the exhaustion of the body and the mind. It is generally caused by factors such as emotional problems, social issues, major changes in life, etc. Emotional problems such as grief or anger issues can easily cause stress among people.

  3. People may often feel stress due to work pressure or domestic issues. The increasing demands of work may take a take toll on people and feelings of stress and nervousness may creep in as they struggle hard to balance work and family.

  4. Stress by itself may not be bad as it may push you to work harder. However, if it leaves you feeling drained, empty and anxious then it is defeating the purpose.

  5. If you feel this way then here is a list of things you should do to relax and unwind yourself.

  6. Engage in a hobby Do you have a hobby that you have not pursued in your attempt to build your career? If yes then take out time each weekend or whenever you can to pursue your hobby as it will help you stay happy and rejuvenated. You should also take time out each day to exercise as it will help you to stay fit and give you time off from work to clear your head.

  7. Eat healthy Is the work pressure forcing you to skip meals? Do you end up eating a lot of junk food to save time on cooking? If your answer is yes to all these questions then it is time to stop doing that. Eating properly is the key to sound body and mind. Eat healthy home cooked food at regular intervals and reduce your intake of coffee.

  8. Sound sleep Our body and mind needs a good 6-8 hours of sleep to relax and be prepared for the challenges of the next day. Don’t compromise on your sleep because it will ultimately affect your quality of work and eventually your health.

  9. Be positive Negativity pulls you down hard by reducing your capability to perform better. It is important to remove all doubts and negative thoughts and stay focused at your goal. So remain positive and move forward in your life with a positive approach.

  10. Seek help If you continue to feel disturbed and stressed about work or domestic issues then it is advisable that you take the help of a professional. A counsellor will help you make sense of your feelings and deal with the situation in an appropriate manner.
