  3. HSU or Health Services Union HSU or Health Services Union is a union that works to defend the rights and interests of health professionals, aged care workers, allied health workers or workers in private health and disability service. The members enjoy a host of benefits as Journey Insurance, Free legal advice & will, indemnity insurance and bereavement benefits.

  4. Journey Insurance What is Journey Insurance? It is all about getting covered in case you meet with an accident on your journey to or from work. The NSW government had taken this insurance away from health workers in 2012 but the HSU with its constant efforts has managed to gift it back to health workers. As part of the insurance, you get monetary assistance of up to 85 % of your weekly salary to a maximum of 1500 dollars per week.

  5. Journey Insurance Under the journey insurance, members are also covered for a variety of treatments for certain specific injuries. The best part is you need not pay any charges for being covered. All you need to do is become a member of the HSU or Health Services Union.

  6. The HSU also offers Bereavement benefit in case of death of the member. The family gets a financial assistance of 10,000 dollars that can be used for immediate expenses. Please note that the bereavement benefit ceases once a member is 70 years old. To know more about various campaigns that HSU is involved with, please visit www.hsu.asn.au or Call 1300-478-679
