  1. Sedimentary Rocks Sedimentary rocks are formed when little sediments pile up on each other and then little minerals cement it together. They usually form in a stream and a river. When the stream or river dries out that’s what forms a sedimentary rock. It takes thousands of years to form a sedimentary rock. Some of the rocks are called breccia, halite, and sandstone. On the next page those are the rocks that we are going to talk about.
