  2. What is a... Pediatric Nurse • A RN that specifically cares for children • Gives examinations, medications, and treatments. • Assist pediatricians • Health education Nurse Anesthetist • Assist anesthesiologists • Watch over patients under anesthesia • Assists other doctors

  3. Working Conditions Pediatric Nurse • 40 hours a week, on call • Work closely with patients • Wear appropriate attire Nurse Anesthetist • Making decisions, obtaining and recording information • Use anesthesia masks, many machines and technology

Training, Qualifications and Advancements Pediatric Nurse • RN license, BSN • Early-childhood classes • Licensing exam • Pediatric Nursing certificate or • Master’s degree to become a PNP or CNS Nurse Anesthetist • RN license, BSN • Education from graduate school of nursing, acute care nursing • National certification
