ProcMan Functions The main functions of ProcMan are: • Control, logging and documentation of handovers • by company specific rules and standards • by technical environments • by timelines • Analysis and verification of the objects • Formal capture of all necessary data and dynamic polling of additional information • Transfer and generation of the objects to the target systems (e.g. Development - Test - Production) • Revision proof storing of the handover data and objects in an archive

ProcMan Components The Components of ProcMan are: • Modern, user friendly web dialog • DB2 z/OS database (other systems on request) • Customizable handover process (workflow and dialog) • Hierarchical client concept • Users / roles security concept • Customer specific JCL dialog • Rule based JCL generator • Modular system: • Workflow Manager • JCL module, based on SmartJCL (Inclusive Procedures, SYSIN data, etc.) • TWS module, based on TWS/WebAdmin for z/OS and TWS/BatchAD • Free text • Other modules on request

ProcMan Implementation Configure your technical environment: z/OS LPARs, source and target systems, check systems, JCL-Libraries, TWS systems etc. Define clients, import User ids, assign roles Setup the handover processes you need: Configure the actions and it’s workflow Define required and optional input fields and verification rules Setup your JCL rules (SmartJCL) The JCL analysis rules correspond to web forms and control which input fields have to be filled (e.g. select account number from a list, enter restart information, specify LRECL and number of GDG entries etc.) The JCL generator rules control how the new JCL will be generated. Every customer has it’s specific organization and rules. Therefore, the needed handover processes have to be configured and customized. ProcMan is prepared for that:

Once it runs, ProcMan take care about complete, verified and documented handover activities and automates manual work.

  8. ProcMan Dialog After logon, the ProcMan menu and the "work list“ appears. Each user can set his own filter. start a handover process Administrators are allowed to define clients, roles, process flows, etc.
