  2. Why Visit Istanbul The most well-known city of Turkey, Istanbul is often even mistaken as the capital city due to its well documented fame. The city straddles across Asia and Europe over the Bosphorus Strait and is a highly sought after vacation destination. Any Istanbul Holiday planner would be incomplete if it did not include the following list:-

A trip to the grandbazaar • The grandbazaar is a covered marketplace full of shops and food stands that offer the best experience of the city possible. • The grandbazaar is the perfect place to enjoy some great Turkish street food and desserts while being on the go and is definitely worth giving an entire day to.

  4. A Trip to the Maiden’s Tower • This icon tower on its own little island is a great experience to get some of the best photo ops in the country. • The Maiden’s Tower, being over 900 years old, is a great piece of architecture from the Byzantine period.

  5. A Drive across the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge • This huge suspension bridge is the connecting force between the continents of Europe and Asia over the Bosphorus Strait. • The experience of crossing over the continents in such a fashion is unavailable in another other part of the World.

  6. A visit to the Topkapi Palace • The Topkapi Palace was one of the main residences of the Ottoman Sultans in during the 15th century. • The palace is also a museum in part that showcases the preserved artifacts from the Ottoman era.

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque • The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is most recognizable for its distinctive blue color tone and 6 towering minarets which surround it. • Having stood the grounds since the 17th century, this mosque is an iconic piece of Islamic architecture that still functions as a mosque to this day. • Hand Painted blue tiles along the mosque’s interior walls are a sight for sore eyes.
