The Venue Hangzhou, China As the famous saying has it, "In the sky there is heaven ... on earth there is Hangzhou," this ancient city, Hangzhou, is the host of the International Leisure Forum It is a modern city of 6 million with over 35 million visitors annually Easily accessible from its international airport and by high-speed train from Shanghai

  3. The Theme The Forum will explore… How many countries, including China, have adopted economic development and the quality of life as twin objectives How can these two objectives develop together? Why they are important in developed and developing countries; in provinces; in cities? What happens to quality of life when there is economic decline? What the future might look like if these twin objectives were being met?

The Program An exceptional program is designed around the theme “Leisure, Economic Development, and Quality of Life”.  Program: Plenary sessions with world-renowned speakers, roundtable discussions, and presentations from scholars, politicians, policy-makers, professionals, and future leaders are to provide participants with opportunities to discuss critical themes and issues. Traditional and contemporary Chinese cultural performances and experiences are planned.
