What are we discussing? • • Infrastructure (pavement and bridges) preservation and maintenance • How do we decide when to preserve or maintain a road or a bridge or build something new? • Not the same as historic preservation • Similar questions and decisions as for equipment management – when do you replace versus repair? • Other definitions or comments ?
