  1. PAB remote meeting @23 April, 2014 Policy on authorship Kazuaki Kuroda On behalf of the chairman of CPC

  2. Recommendation: The PAB recommends that KAGRA develop a policy for authorship on collaboration papers. While it is true that the most important of those papers are still several years away, we believe it is not too early to establish such a policy. Researching what other collaborations (both GW and non-GW) have put in place and adapting it for the particular needs of KAGRA could take some time. A well-crafted policy could encourage greater participation in the collaboration, while a poorly done one could discourage it, so careful thought is required. Answer: We accelerate to get an agreement of the policy among collaborators based on compilation of discussions on this matter .

  3. KAGRA membership • Present members of KAGRA collaboration are 225 • The membership was established after f2f meeting in 2011, which evaluates research field and activity • The leader of the approved research group can automatically add new members • No refereeing system exists for evaluating memberships

  4. Publication rule • Committee of Publication Control was established in 2011 • Organization: Chair, RaffaeleFlaminio, members, Y. Saito, S. Kawamura, N. Mio, N. Kanda, Zong-Hong Zhu • Manuscripts are classified according to a rule • Approval by CPC is required for any publication related to KAGRA project • Renewal of this rule is being considered

  5. Authorship for KAGRA • We recognized that co-authorship should be different from KAGRA membership • It must encourage all members but should not discourage young members who are actively working in subsystems • We are going to make a plan of the written rule by the next f2f summer meeting based on various opinions presented so far in collaboration meetings (Raffaele is studying on other projects)
