  2. WHO ARE THE MOBILE PRACTITIONERS?... • Macquarie university has 151 international students amongst its 700 students, representing 18 different countries: • 63 students from Europe • 52 students from Asia • 29 students from North America • 1 student from Africa

  3. WHO ARE THE MOBILE PRACTITIONERS?... • Most international students return home after graduation • Approximately 10-20% of local students head overseas after graduation, typically most to the UK • CCEA has, so far this year, examined 28 overseas practitioners seeking registration in Australia

  4. CCEI MODEL STANDARDS & ACCREDITATION EQUIVALENCY CCE Australia requires the following for equivalent standards for registration: • Graduates from a non-CCE accredited school are required to sit: • Part I (Basic Sciences), • Part II (Clinical Sciences), • Part III (Viva & Clinical Practicum).

  5. CCEI MODEL STANDARDS & ACCREDITATION EQUIVALENCY CCE Australia requires the following for equivalent standards for registration: 2. Graduates from a CCE accredited school are required to sit: • Part II (Clinical Sciences), • Part III (Viva & Clinical Practicum), and are exempt from Part I of the CCEA exam.

  6. CCEI MODEL STANDARDS & ACCREDITATION EQUIVALENCY CCE Australia requires the following for equivalent standards for registration: 3. Graduates from a CCE accredited school, AND who have Parts I,II, & III of the NBCE, are only required to sit: • Part III (Viva & Clinical Practicum), and are exempt from Parts I & II of the CCEA exams

  7. A MODEL FOR PORTABILITY… • CCE ACCREDITED SCHOOL • NBCE (OR EQUIVALENT) EXAM (PARTS I,II,III) • ALL CANDIDATES TAKE CLINICAL PRACTICUM IN THEIR JURISTICTION, COMPRISING VIVA PANEL AND CLINICAL PRACTICUM
