  2. What is Foreshadowing? Foreshadowing is the technique at hinting about something that will occur later in the story.

  3. Examples of Foreshadowing • Example: Earlier at 5:00 the bank was robbed. He took 5,000 dollars. There were five witnesses left alive. They say he had a gun and he didn’t have gloves on.

  4. How to Identify Foreshadowing STEP 1: Think about the plot events. STEP 2: Look for clues in the dialogue or description. STEP 3: Predict what will happen next.

Kevon getting a job • A. is the answer because it is hinting that he was going to get caught because the witness saw he didn’t have on gloves. • 2. What is most likely to happen next? • A. He breaks out of prison • B. He does some jail time • C. He files way with wings • B. is the answer because wants you go to jail you have to do jail time before you get out.
