  1. Dear Mathematicians, Today’s greeting is to match up math facts with the answers, using the order of operations. Continue to work on your posters. Make sure that they are colorful, have the correct facts shown as examples, and are creative.

  2. Dear Editors, Please be my editor. Look at the chart on the whiteboard and if you find a mistake, please fix it. There are 6 mistakes on the note below. If the mistakes have been found, please read or write silently at your desk. Deer Class, We will bee starting to learn about division. What due you already no about division? Right your answer in the box below. Please write neatly sew that wee can read your answer.

  3. Dear Authors, We have been gathering ideas to write a realistic fiction story and know that every story has a problem and solution. Read the problem below and write how you would solve the problem if you were writing this story Problem: Jessica looks out the window and sees all of her friends riding their brand new 10 speed bikes. The problem is that she still can’t ride her bike without training wheels. How would you solve the rest of this story. Introduce a new character and write a blurb explaining what YOU would write.

  4. Dear Authors, We are busy writing our realistic fiction stories. However, sometimes we get “stuck” and can’t find other ways to say the word “SAID”. Look at the alphabetical list on your desk and see how many different ways you can say “SAID”. Fill in the chart with as many words as you can.

  5. Dear Mathematicians, How much is it worth? Use the value chart to figure out how many points you would get for each letter of your name. Then find the product of your first name. (multiply) For example, L=1, I=1, N=1, D=2, A=1, so my name is 1X1X1X2X1=2. Next try it with your last name. If you finish, try to create some of your own word values. (ex. January, friend, winter).
