  1. My Hometown PLEVEN Pleven is the seventh most populous city in Bulgaria. It is a major economic centre of the Bulgarian Northwest and Central North and the third largest city of Northern Bulgaria. The city was a major battle scene during the Russo-Turkish War. Today, I think, it is one of the best places to live in Bulgaria :)

  4. The Pleven Panorama is what Pleven is most famous for. It depicts the five-month Siege of Pleven during the Russian-Turkish Liberation War. It is the only Panorama on the Balkans and THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD among the other 32

  5. The St George the Conqueror Chapel Mausoleum is a mausoleum and memorial Bulgarian Orthodox chapel, as well as a major landmark of Pleven. The chapel mausoleum bears the name of Saint George, the patron saint of soldiers, and is also depicted in the coat of arms of Pleven. It lies on the main Vazrazhdane Square.

  6. The Pleven Regional Historical Museum, founded in 1953, is one of the largest museums in Bulgaria. The museum is situated in a two-storey edifice near the centre of Pleven. The building is a monument of culture of national importance and has an area of 7,000 m².

  11. The people of Pleven like to relax at the end of the week by going to the KAILAKA park. The nature is very well preserved here and the whole atmosphere is very calming.
