The life of IQBAL • His name was Dr.MohammadIqbal. • He was born in Sialkot on 9th Nov 1877. • AllamaIqbal was a great poet-philosopher and active political leader. • Iqbal received his early education in the Sialkot Mission School. • Having obtained a degree at Cambridge, he secured his doctorate at Munich and finally qualified as a barrister. • He is the national poet of Pakistan. • He died on 21st April 1938.

  3. As a Poet • Iqbal Wrote many Poems to encourage people. • He wrote poetries for people of all ages, especially children. • He wrote poetries in urdu and persian language. • Some of his famous works are Jugnoo, Hamdardi, Dua etc.

  4. As a Politician • He is regarded by many as the spiritual founder of Pakistan. • He was a firm believer in freedom and the creative force that freedom can exert on men. • AllamaIqbal suggested that a separate state should be given to the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent. • Iqbal worked constantly to encourage Muslim leaders and masses to support Jinnah and the League.
