  2. Introduction • Deep in the jungle the we are on the search. • For the rare white peacock (swish) there it goes. • Lets learn about the peacock

  3. Description • The peacock is beautiful, And they all have names. • Peacocks are NOT all called peacocks. • They are actually called peafowl. • Females are called peahens. • Males are called peacocks. • Babies are called peachicks. • All together their called peafowl.

  4. Description • 1 male and 6 females are called a polygamous. • A group of peahens are called a harem. • The weight of a male peacock is up to 8 to 10 pounds. • The male peacock has a length of 6-8 feet long. • Also with their train is an extra 4-6 feet long.

  5. History • Did you know that peafowl have lived in India for over 50,000 years.

  6. Peacocks can live in very hot or cold climate. Peacocks have also been moved to all sorts of places like zoos, parks, and even backyards. Habitat

  7. Eggs • Peahens can lay up to 8-10 eggs a year. • Peahens have to sit on the eggs for 34 days.

  8. Fun facts • Did you know there are white peacocks well there are for information. • Did you know that the peacocks train feathers take up 60% of their body • Did you know that it takes up to 34 days for an egg to hatch.
