  3. Why people bully • Filling a need in their life • They are bullied • They hurt, so they hurt others • Revenge because you hurt them • People are inherently good – there is a reason when someone bullies.

  6. How to respond to bullying? • Do NOT retaliate physically or with hurtful words. • Tell the person that what they are doing hurts • Ask why they are hurting you

  7. Love the Person Bullying You • Open dialogue about the hurt • Empathize with the person • Forgive the person • Forgiveness is not for the person bullying – the forgiveness is for YOU!!

  8. Set Boundaries • Decide what is acceptable for you • Explain to others what is acceptable • Hold your standard • If you didn’t decide what is acceptable, peer pressure will likely win…

  9. Be the Change • How do you want the world to be? • Stand up to make the world the way it should be, stand up for yourself, stand up for others • It takes a strong man to stand up for himself; it takes a stronger man to stand up for others.
