  4. Overview of Findings . 76 proposed measures were considered ( TN/TF/W/143/Rev.1) Results: . Already Compliants with: 28% . Partially Compliants with: 56% . Not Compliants with: 12% . Not Applicable with: 4% .

Overview of Findings (2) • Identifying Vietnam current existence relative to the requirements of Basic Standard. • Recognizing key barriers to basic standards compliance • Agreement on actions to achieve basic standards compliance. • Determining the level and priority of technical assistance/capacity building needed • Identifying lead agencies and stakeholders who will provide assistance.

  6. Measures most difficult to implement • Automation/Single Window • Implementation of some International standards as RM, PCA, Intelligence,.. • Express consigments

  7. Reasons • Poor experiences and perception on some main TF issues • Infrastructures of IT • Human resource incapable with the demands of the new working environment • Inadequate coperation and coordernation among relevant authorities

Next Step of National Team • Maximum participation of team members in TF negotiations in the final stage • More involvement of the TF activities in the other fora such as APEC, ASEM, WCO,… • Keep close with the progress of TF movements in and between/among the agencies • Updated with progress of WTO TF negotiation in the forms of workshops, studies, group work • Good communication between Geneva-based officials and the team and among the team members

  10. Any SUGGESTIONS or IDEAS… • This is a comprehensive approach to TF issues under negotiation • It should be continued along the process of negotiation of this Agreement
