  2. Aims • Re-cap the key points of Talent Match • Illustrate the timeframe • Outline bidding process for the Humber • Outline role & composition of Bid Group • Identify NE Lincs Bid Group representative

Talent Match – the essentials • New £100m Big Lottery Fund programme • Programme lasts 5 years from June 2013 • Aimed at the hardest-to-reach 18-24 NEET • Requires cross-sector partnership approach • Must have a voluntary sector lead body • Targeted at 21 priority LEP areas across England • £5.2m indicative allocation in Humber (not guaranteed) • Investment will be focused / needs-led

Timeframe • 6th September 2012 – bid group formed • 17th – 24th September 2012 – 4 locality group meetings • 3rdOctober 2012 – VCS lead body appointed • 5th November 2012 – Prospectus submission deadline • Nov to Dec – prospectus assessed by Big Lottery Fund • January 2013 – invitation to stage 2 (or not) • June 2013 – programme goes “live” • 2018 – end of Talent Match programme

Talent Match - secretariat role • A temporary role until Prospectus is submitted (5th November 2012) • Co-ordinating local meetings, invites and papers • Co-ordinating activities such as identifying and analysing data and evidence of local hotspots, which will be shared with partners to help you plan your project • Working closely with local stakeholders to help grow the partnership by acting as a public point of contact on the BLF website • Providing administrative support whilst the partnership writes its project prospectus • Involving young people in the work of the partnership • Ensuring that all organisations and people who could have a meaningful involvement can be present or engaged

What does the Bid Group need to do? • Develop a project prospectus by 5th November 2012 • Directly involve young people in co-design • Demonstrate how Talent Match Humber will reach and engage young people most in need • Demonstrate where there are opportunities and skills gaps • Use evidence and local knowledge to design an approach that creates tightly focused paths into employment • Demonstrate complementarity with existing services

The role of locality groups • Driving and shaping the Talent Match Humber prospectus • Identifying local “hotspots” and / or thematic groups of 18-24 NEETs • Identifying current support for 18-24 NEETs • Identifying gaps in support for 18-24 NEETs • Giving bid group feedback on drafts of the prospectus • Identify and work through a locality representative

  11. Group Tasks 1. Identify and agree a NE Lincs representative for the bid group (and a deputy) 2. What / where is the greatest need in NE Lincs? 3. What provision is currently available for 18-24 NEETs in the NE Lincs?
