This paper discusses the urgent need for capable school leadership to enhance and transform the school systems in the Asia-Pacific region in response to the challenges posed by globalization. It explores multiple developments in globalization and the importance of contextualized multiple intelligence in education. The paper also highlights the paradigm shift towards school-based management and the impact of paradigm shift in education.
