  1. WITH YOU Grassroots and the Precinct Delegate The strength of the Tea Party is being a Grassroots Movement

  2. What is our grassroots strategy? To Save America • Establish the GOP as the CONSERVATIVE defender of the constitution, small government, economic freedom and personal liberty. • This is a cooperative effort with all conservatives • Driven at the county level but looking at the state and the nation • This will take place in front of many of the leaders we want to REPLACE

  3. Why do we do this? • Currently the GOP is run by Moderates • Establishment has control • The Tea Party cannot be a 3rd party and WIN • The last election is an example of the GOP’s IN-ability to WIN • Currently the GOP controls the conservative agenda, we need more conservatives in office • Many GOP conservatives are leaving the party, we need them to be more involved

  4. How do we do this? • Become precinct delegates not alternates • Establish a precinct action group • Get a database of local voters to contact • Use all tools available-meetings, phones, email, website, social media, and door-to-door • Identify VOTER needs and concerns

  5. What in our Mind Set that Needs to CHANGE • Success = Corruption = TAKE from the Successful • Government can FIX Everything • Stimulus Spending Creates JOB’s • Our Boarders are SECURE • Our Freedom Will Last FOREVER • I Don’t Need to Get INVOLVED • Someone Else Will Support MY BELEIFES / FREEDOM’S • I’AM ONLY ONE PERSON I CAN’T MAKE A DEFERANCE

Counters to the Changes • Make the Rich pay more Taxes, Taxing them at 100% wont pay the Bills • OBOMA Care will make everything better, Do you see the system improving • Stimulus Spending Creates JOB’s, WHERE, More Job’s in other countries • Are Boarders are SECURE, With 11 million + Illegal’s HEAR now, How secure are the boarders? • History proves No Government Last FOREVER, It is a • FIGHT TO KEEP WHAT WE HAVE

  7. INVOLVEMENT • Every ONE needs to get INVOLVED or they will be the only ones who will have a VOTE • HOW WELL DO THEY SUPPORT YOUR BELEIFES / FREEDOM’S / VALUES NOW? • ASK: JESUS, MLK or GONDIE WHAT ONE MAN CAN DO? GRASSROOTS START WITH JUST ONE PERSON YOU

INVOLVEMENT STARTS WITH YOU HELP IDENTIFY YOUR HOT BUTTON ISSUES ABORTION, GAY RIGHTS / MARRIAGE, IMMIGRATION, BIG GOVERNMENT, GOVERNMENT INDEBTEDNESS, OBOMA CARE, JOB’S, ENEGERY SECURITY, IRS SCANDAL, BENGHAZI, TERRORISM, MUSLAM BROTHERHOOD, ATTACK ON THE CONSTITUTION, ATTACK ON CHRISTIAN VALUES, WELFARE STATE, PERSONAL FREEDOM, OTHER ISSUES PICK YOUR THREE TOP ISSUES AND PLACE THE THREE PROVIDED STICKERS ON THE BOARD NEXT TO THE ISSUE .   10. INFORMATION OVERLOAD • Information Overload can turn off a Voter • Be sensitive to the amount of unsolicited information you send out • Manage your contact list • But ask every contact you make for their vote for the Conservative Candidates AT least one time.

What is a precinct? • The smallest political unit (in your neighborhood) • This is Where elections are won and lost • It is the Most important but least understood (part of the election process) • You know the people in your area (Friends and Neighbors) • Represent the conservative voice of the GOP in your area

What will you do? • Help people register to vote • Take information to your precinct • Recruit new conservative members • Identify those who are on the fence • Get voters to turn out for events • Keep conservative leadership informed • Be a Bridge between voters and party • Share Information and Tools with your Neighborhood

  13. How can I become a delegate? • Affidavit of Identity form with their clerk • Precinct Delegates are elected in the August Primary • Filing deadline is 12 weeks prior to August primary • GOP County Chair will help • County Clerk will notify you of the result

  14. How to do it for real • Obtain a precinct map from the local clerk's office. • Find out the number of (your party) precinct delegate vacancies • File your Affidavit of Identity with the clerk • If you have opposition, campaign

  15. Following precinct election • Take notification to county convention to register with the convention credentials committee • Elect delegates to state convention in September • Convention sets party platform, nominates various state offices

  16. Following general and mid term • Participate in County Convention • Elect executive committees and officers to serve through the following election. • Elect CONSERVATIVE delegates to the February state convention where new state party officers and a new state central committee will be voted in
