  18. Vilkaviškis Vilkaviškis is the centre of the district and the diocese. After the Independence was restored the St. Virgin Mary Visit‘s Cathedral

  19. Klėtelė An authentic klėtelė (a special Lithuanian small building) built in 1867 can be found in Paežeriai – the birthplace of Vincas Kudirka (1858-1899). The memorial museum (part of the Regional museum) is established there.

  20. Vištytis • The highest area of the Suvalkai elevation is a part of the Vištytis Regional Park. The Vištytis footed stone lies at the edge of the park.

  21. Kazlų Rūda • Kazlu Ruda municipality is a land of forests and carvers. Kazlu Ruda region is famous for traditional festivals: a choir festival ‘Muzikantu Seklytele’, festivals of Town’s Day, of drama collectives of children and adults, and the ones of vocal ensembles.

  22. Kazys Grinius’ monument • In Mondzgire, where President Dr. Kazys Grinius is buried, there was erected K. Grinius’ monument carved from white granite.

  23. Visakis Ruda church • A wooden Visakio Ruda church, built in 1883, is one of the most beautiful wooden sacral buildings of northern Suvalkija (one of four ethnic regions of Lithuania).
