  9. Where to access HCPS databases http://catalog.henrico.k12.va.us Click on the left side of the screen under High databases. Look in school space for usernames and log-ins for in home use of databases.

  10. VCU & U of R Databases You must be onsite (at the school) and ask for a temporary user name and log in information to use these databases. Only Uni. Of Richmond will allow this. VCU does not allow you to use databases. As an IB student at Henrico you have VCU and U of R library visitation privileges

  11. Not all Websites are Reliable • Be careful and make sure the information you find online is reliable. • Use the website validity checklist in School Space to be sure what you find is reliable valid information.

  13. Take notes as you go! Use source cards and take notes as you go this will help keep you organized. There are sample source cards available to you in School Space under Library Community Group content. Use them for books, websites, online journals, and printed journals.

Small fee, then access your work from any computer • Zotero- downloadable free software, create folders, save note cards, bibliography, web addresses and cite as your write.
