A user will be able to provide genuine and tactical feedback, which in turn helps the team and management to position their software product in a much better manner. User experience (UI/UX) is crucial for a product’s success in the marketplace. Hence, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is performed to identify what are the problem areas that can be worked upon in order to improve the user experience. In this article, you will get to know about UAT explained with an example. What is User Acceptance Testing (UAT)? It is a testing method where a software product or application is tested by end-users in a real-time environment. Alpha testing: In this type of testing, the developer’s site is where the application will be tested by the testers in order to analyze if there are any last minute changes or issues that need to be fixed before the application is delivered to the end-users for carrying out beta testing. 2. Beta testing: Beta testers (end-users) will test the beta version of the application and then provide their valuable feedback. Following are a few UAT example guidelines: 1. In certain software development scenarios, UAT is performed in the QA environment, if suppose there is no specific testing environment that has been set up for conducting user acceptance testing. 2. When the customer is fully involved in the UAT process, putting in the best of efforts, then the outcome of UAT can be rewarding.
