Once you get to this page -- • Enter your email address • Click on “Send Access Key” Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations Prior to the first time you complete an observation, you will go to this page to obtain a link where you can submit observations. https://myrecord.cehd.tamu.edu/observations/

Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations When you use the link provided, you will see a page similar to this. • Only the student teachers (ST) you are supervising will appear on the list • You can begin a new observation by clicking on “New Observation” under the appropriate name • You can “View” or “Edit” observations that have been submitted by clicking on the appropriate link • You can also see the status of the observation • Complete • In Progress/Not submitted to student

  4. Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations When you begin a new observation the ST’s information will automatically appear (information in the gray). However, you will have to enter the information shown in yellow (observation date, time in, time out, conference date and time). Overall rating and comments and recommendations are also required.

  5. Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations • Rate the ST on each indicator by selecting the appropriate button to the right of that indicator • The indicators are grouped into sections and there is a comment box for each section • Comments are to be included as you deem appropriate and are not required for every section

Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations • When you have finished entering information click the button at the bottom of the screen that says “Save and Preview” • The next screen you see will be similar to the picture on this slide • You will have the option to “Re-Edit” or “Submit to Student” • Once the observation is submitted to the ST they will get an email so they can complete their reflections

  7. Submitting Student Teaching Formal Observations Final Steps: • The ST has 2 days to complete the reflection. • Once the reflection has been submitted, you should receive an email of the completed observation. Formal Observation Due Dates: • September 14 • October 5 • October 26 • November 16
