  1. Speaker Onboarding Tips on Your Virtual Event Platform ========================================================================================= When it comes to the stakeholders at a virtual event, there are event organizers, AV partners, exhibitors, sponsors, and most important of all – Speakers. Yes, it is possible to bring in many speakers when hosting a virtual event. Why? Savings! Savings and savings! – on travel, on accommodation and time! If an event organizer is investing in a virtual event platform then why not bring in famous speakers! But virtual speaking and presentation aren’t the same as in-person one. So, what are a few tips a speaker must keep in mind before going live at a virtual event? Here are a few pointers: 1.Internet Connection We all have faced a challenge in connecting without peers across the globe even in an internal call because of the lag in connection. WIFI bandwidth issues are common since we’ve been sitting at home consuming all the internet there’s available. Make sure to have a stable internet connection from where you’ll be speaking. 2.Use a proper headset HUBILO 1

  2. From a tech standpoint, using the best virtual event platformis the organizer’s choice which is easy to onboard. But bringing in the best headphones, mic, and setting up proper light is your call. Eventually, it’s you who’s going to be on the camera. 3. Camera & background settings Use an excellent quality camera. Not all systems have a high-quality cam incorporated. Nowadays, the virtual event platform allows speakers to add a virtual background image (maybe a logo of their company or a standee showcasing their services or a simple scenic background). The end goal is to look awesome! 4. Take help from session moderators/EMCEE’s If you can, why not! Session moderators and EMCEE’s are there for you to break that awkward silence, help you break the ice if you are new to this virtual speaking experience. They can take up the questions, read up the chats and comments in the live chat section and also discuss the live polls related to your session. 5. Do dry runs before the main event Dry runs are always recommended. Take your time to explore the tech, the platform features, try and interact with a dummy audience, build confidence, and there you go! Rehearse till you are ready to showcase an awesome session! Many times in virtual medical conferences, the doctors rehearse a lot just to be sure they get the tech. These are a few handy tips for all the speakers out there who are not tech-savvy or it’s their first time speaking at a virtual conference. Suit up and be confident!
