Curriculum Committee • 2012-2013 Goals • Junior Achievement supports Crooms’ 4 year career plan • 9th grade program – April 4, 11, 18, 25, May 2 • 10th grade program – Oct. 25, Nov. 1, 8, 13, Nov. 20 - COMPLETED • 11th grade program – Complete by February 2013 • 12th Summer Internship – Summer 2013 • Teach In Day – November 13, 2012 – 53 speakers • Senior Exit Interviews – 124 seniors, November 26 – December 3, 2012 -COMPLETED • I/ITSEC – December 1, 2012 -COMPLETED • LANFest – January 7, 2013 - COMPLETED • Science Fair – 27 students competing @ SCRMSEF, • Seminole Towne Center Mall – February 9, 2013 • Tech Fest/Field Day – March 21, 2013, workshop presenters needed • College Visit to Keiser University – April 2013

Job Shadowing/Internship Committee 2012-2013 Goals: 6 field trips planned this year: • Oct. 26, 2012 – Symantec Corporation - DONE • Nov. 15 – Dot Decimal - DONE • Dec. 7 – Dave Maus Toyota - DONE • Jan. 17 – Convergys Corporation - DONE • Jan. 24, 2012--Sanford Chamber of Commerce-DONE • Feb. 19 - Siemens • Prepare juniors for Summer Internship Thank you SCPS –RTT funds for paying for transportation and business partners for paying for lunch.

Internship 2012-2013 Goals: • Identify 20-25 slots • Plan an employer recruitment workshop for the Internship Program – April 4th noon. • Begin interviewing by end of April • Identify students before school year ends Interns start June – August Next committee session: Internship workshop for employers –

Marketing/Membership Committee Business Advisory Council website: Croomsbac.org 2012-2013 Goals: • Encourage membership for BAC • Encourage parent membership – work with PTSA/SAC • Implement Communication/Marketing Plan • Faculty, BAC/PTSA, students • Market BAC events – Tech Fest • Next Marketing session: align with Tech Fest meetings

Scholarship Committee Updates: • BAC Scholarship deadline Feb. 1, 2013 • Write a succession plan for the endowment • Design a scholarship certificate • Awards Ceremony – May 2, 2013 • Next meeting: TBD • Ron Colangelo will work with Kevin to learn more about the position since he is interested in chairing this position next year.

Fundraising Committee • Coming ----Tech Fest VII---March 21, 2013 • 2012-2013 Goals: $25,000 • Secure sponsorship now – February 2013 • SSC, Convergys, NCS, Lockheed Martin, Kavaliro Staffing Services, EA, Microsoft, AAA and DiSTI have committed already • Secure Keynote Speakers – 2 (secured) • Secure Workshop Speakers – slots still available (wksheet) • Next committee session:
