Some Practice Time • Log in to RefWorks with Student ID • Create personal database; download Word plug-in (Help > Write-N-Cite > download) • Set Output Style to APA in top bar • Enter a journal, book, book chapter, and web-based article in RefWorks • Open Word and Click on RefWorks Add-In • Type and insert citations (Cite-N-Write) - Try using “Cite” and “Creating Bibliography” • Download Zotero into Firefox browser • Export RefWorks using BibTeX and save • Import these references into Zotero

Bonus Writing Ideas Using Character Map (Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools; then pin to Start Menu or copy to Quick Launch bar) Using language options (Control Panel > Regional/Language Options; select Canada multi-lingual and Can. French; Alt + Shift will toggle between both official languages) Using tiled windows (right click toolbar > show windows stacked or side-by-side) Using screencaptures (download free ScreenHunter/ScreenRecorder, or use SmartBoard tools, or Snipping Tool; create a “ScreenCapture” folder on your system) PDF conversion with Word headings/weblinks
